Road Trip 2000

An article in Smithsonian Magazine in August, 2000, announced three concurrent exhibits of paintings by artist Rockwell Kent. I had a limited familiarity with some of his work, and the images in the magazine article put the exhibits on my must-see list.

All three events were in the Northeast; The Adirondack Museum at Blue Mountain Lake, New York, The State University of New York at Plattsburgh, New York, and the Norman Rockwell Museum at Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

I had retired just a month earlier, and I immediately started making plans for a post-labor-day excursion.
